Church of St. James

Thanks to the generosity of the coiners and pregerers from the neighbouring Italian Court, the construction of this church, which was originally dedicated to St. Anne, could begin in the 1430s. Although the church was not completed until 1420, the first mass was celebrated here in 1356.

Between 1424 and 1648 the Utraquists were active in the church and the church changed its patron saint, which has remained until today. Saint James thus replaced Saint Anne.
